Dear Business Neighbors,

Dan F. Parman, affectionately referred to as the “Grandfather of Stone Oak” when he conceived and developed the concept of Stone Oak as a master planned community. In 1979, Parman was looking for land on the northside of San Antonio because that is where he believed the future of San Antonio growth was moving. Today, it is evident that his prediction was right on the money. Come hear about new developments in our area, as well as the history of Stone Oak.

Directions:Take Stone Oak Parkway North from 1604, make right on Madison Oak. The Garrett Room is located on the bottom floor, next to the cafeteria.

We are currently conducting a toy drive for North Central Baptist Hospital. Please bring a toy donation. We are currently collecting all age appropriate DVD, children’s books, board games etc. For a complete wish list see the bottom of this email.

Stone Oak Community Optimist Club Presents "Dancing for a Cause"
At Fred Astaire Dance Studio.
Come join us for a night of dance FUNraising. We will have fabulous door prizes, and a incredible silent auction. The Stone Oak Community Optimist Club is raising Scholarship funds for special needs children who are interested in sports at the Mays YMCA. Door Prize is a Free room for a one night stay with king size bed or two double beds to include breakfast for 2 at Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio North/Stone Oak at Legacy.Valued at $169.00 Gift basket from Bealls Department store from The Vineyard Shopping Center. Valued at $250.00. With a purchase of ticket, you will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win one of these door prizes. Silent Auction will be held!!!

BUSINESS EXPO

Dear Business Neighbors:
The Stone Oak Business Association 6th Annual Business Expo will be taking place Tuesday. September 30, 2008. It will be held at the Ronald Reagan High School Cafeteria from 5:15 -8:30 p.m.
Six-foot cafeteria tables will be provided for display. The cost will be $75.00 for SOBA members and $125.00 for non-members. If electricity is needed, please request with your reservation. SOBA members will have first priority on electricity. Deadline for your check and reservations will be September 1, 2008.
If interested, please email stoneoakbusiness@satx.rr.com with your contact name, name of company, phone number and email address. If you reserve by mail, make sure to send a business card with all of your information (company name, email, your name and phone number). This is first come-first serve! Deadline for your check and reservations will be September 1st. You can also call in your RSVP with a MasterCard or Visa.
The SOBA Business Expo will be publicized in the Welcome Home Community Newspaper, which is direct mailed to the 78258, 78259, 78232 78248, 78260 and 78261 zip codes, and mass emailed our SOBA mass email list which contains over 2000 emails.. We will also have information out at local schools and businesses in the area with flyers and press releases to other local and business newspapers. All business participants will be recognized in Welcome Home Community Newspaper.
Proceeds will go towards scholarship funds for Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), a Reagan High School business education student organization.
This will be an opportunity to get business exposure within the business community and the Stone Oak Community as well. We hope to hear from you soon!
